I made a great find in 2015 - Trove Market, an online thrift shopping site and app called usetrove. I reached out to them initially to understand better how to shop using their site. Incorporating upcycled, repurposed or vintage pieces into my designs brings to the space a rich, authentic touch. We became fast design friends and were soon collaborating on a room design with items being sold on Trove, as well as other favorite digital shopping haunts. The look inspired by British Rock-N-Roll lifestyle, resulted in one look, for two kids rooms - a nursery (ROCK-A-BÉBÉ) and a teen bedroom (ROCK & ROLL-ING STONES). For a few years I had observed the popping up of numerous online only, home furnishing sites; increasing popularity of inspirational mega sites Pinterest and Houzz; and the multi-billion dollar industry known as do-it-yourself or D.I.Y. Then, last year I was contemplating how to reinvent my career being a new mom, with limited jobs in retail design where I live. I knew I wanted a business that combined my love of interior design, styling and retail.
