Nothing could be more true when it comes to creating amazing décor and furniture pieces from unwanted or extra materials that we have found out junk yards, vintage shops and one of our all-time favorite haunts, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. I've purchased so many things for my own DIY upcycle projects including quality paints, wood trim, honeycomb blinds, etc. And I have also brought in my old appliances, furniture and hardware to donate. If you've never heard of the ReStore look it up, like right now. There are over 900 in 49 states across the country. I've personally donated and purchased from the stores in Charlotte, NC and here in Omaha, NE. For now here is some inspiration from us for the types of projects to consider doing for your baby nursery or kids bedroom. They are each custom designed to work perfectly with a room design and cost a fraction of the price of store bought items. 1. Rustic Mirror 2. Graphic Night Stand 3. Glamorous Dresser 4.
