We are remodeling our teeny-weeny master bath and going sleek and modern. However, when I stood in Lowes picking out bathroom shower tiles, I found myself gravitating back to the a very classic look of herringbone in white & grey marble. I found myself mesmerized by the texture and natural mottled coloring.
In the end it took me 13 pain staking hours to complete one shower stall wall and niche. (Thank goodness the other two walls were larger white glass tiles!) As my thinset encrusted fingers searched through a bucket of cut scraps for just the right sized triangle piece to complete the wall, I thought about the Piazza del Campo in Siena, Italy. I wondered how long it took them to create this nine sections marvel. The Piazza del Campo in Siena, Italy has always been my favorite piazza and now I have an even deeper appreciation of this masterpiece.
I have sat in the Piazza del Campo many times, soaking in the Tuscan sun and sounds, but never knew how it would translate into my own surroundings. This shower wall is my own little masterpiece that I will soak in every day!
A self-starter in pursuit of all things smart, savvy and stylish.
