Colorhouse Paint: Eco-friendly, People-friendly

I started out writing this post about the new, yummy paint color collection from Serena & Lily. It is 108 deliciously colors with shades like APRICOT & GINGER. All hues feel fresh and clean, but rich. Jumping off our last blog post about requesting samples, all colors are available in 8 oz. can samples, available in three finishes, $8. Be sure and get yours before you paint an entire wall, room or home!
Their blog shares fun and clear instruction for creating artful walls with cool DIY graphics and simple techniques. This WATER COLOR WALL was similar to something I pinned on Pinterest and always wondered how they accomplished it. The video makes it look like fun to do and visually appealing effect. The light and upbeat music that accompanies the video is another touch of their site's feel good vibe. Although my favorite part of the video is that the artist doing the painting is wearing a pretty, white top and stylish suede shoes. I have learned a long time ago that I am a messy painter and have to wear my "paint clothes" for the simplest tasks. #1messypainter

So after falling in love with all the fabulous colors in the Serena & Lily collection, I was curious about the quality of the paint. I wanted to know who actually produces the paint, it's most common that a brand uses an established manufacture, i.e. Laura Ashley uses Valspar. Martha Stewart is Glidden. It says very clearly on the Serena & Lily site and mailings that it is a collaboration with Colorhouse Paint. Still wanting to know more about this brand, as I have only heard of them in reference to their chalk paint, I clicked on the link provided by Serena & Lily taking me to Colorhouse.

What I found exploring the Colorhouse site was not only feel-good info about their eco-friendly VOC free paint, recycled content containers or 100% chlorine free labels, but a fresh and fun brand that offers their customers a huge list of painting assistance. Not to mention good information about their product and owners on the ABOUT US page. The OUR PEOPLE section was one of the most "colorful" I've read, with short notes about the executive team including their favorite Colorhouse color.
