The Force must be strong since I was drawn to designing a room inspired by a film and characters that I have little to no connection to. (Except because my son’s name is Luca, so my husband has fun saying in a freakishly deep voice, “LUCAAA. I am your father”). I have no allegiance to the Star Wars Imperials, Jedi, Rebels, Sith etc. I am subordinate only to the superior power of design. The visual aesthetic of graphic white and black, accented by hard outlines then contrasted with a few muted neutral textiles definitely screams galactic nursery design opportunity. Plus referring to your new baby as "the Force" is pretty awesome.
Try Not. Do, Or Do Not. There Is No Try. ( Translation: You must have it in your head that you can do it. Trying means you are providing an out for yourself )
So this design is for all those adults who are die hard Star Wars fans or married to one or parents to one. You CAN design a room in a galaxy far, far away or right in your own home, and still have it be relevant, modern, sophisticated and youthful. Our Star Wars inspired style board takes note of the graphic color scheme and powerful modern lines from the Dark Side, but translates into a space on the Light Side, the Good Side.

Here are a few of our favorite pieces that are out of this world, Star Wars or no Star Wars.
